It does not replace detailed internal safeguarding procedures, employer safeguarding policies or the responsibilities of statutory safeguarding agencies.

This statement applies whether the concern arises directly during training or becomes known through communication associated with our services.
Anyone who becomes aware of a safeguarding concern connected with Clarivive MedInsight Ltd training should report it promptly.
A person does not need to prove that abuse or neglect has occurred before raising a concern. They should report what they have seen, heard, been told or reasonably suspect.
Where a concern is identified, Clarivive MedInsight Ltd may take action including:
Listening to the person without making promises that information will remain completely confidential
Recording the facts accurately and promptly
Preserving relevant messages, attendance records or other evidence
Escalating the concern to an authorised safeguarding lead or senior manager
Contacting the learner’s employer or commissioning organisation where appropriate
Contacting local authority children’s social care or adult safeguarding services
Contacting the police where a crime may have occurred
Contacting emergency services where there is an immediate risk
Pausing or ending a training activity where continued participation may be unsafe
Restricting contact or system access where necessary to protect individuals
Cooperating with an external safeguarding enquiry
Records should distinguish facts, direct observations, disclosures and professional opinions. The person receiving a disclosure should not conduct their own detailed investigation or ask unnecessary leading questions.
Where a child or another person is in immediate danger, call 999. Concerns about a child who is not in immediate danger can be reported to the children’s social care team at the relevant local council.
Concerns about an adult at risk should normally be reported to the adult safeguarding service of the relevant local authority, or to the police where criminal conduct is suspected.
Safeguarding information will be treated sensitively and shared only where there is a legitimate reason to do so.
Confidentiality is important, but it is not absolute. A trainer, employee or representative must not promise to keep a safeguarding disclosure secret.
Information may be shared where reasonably necessary to:
Protect a child, young person or adult at risk
Prevent serious harm
Support emergency action
Make a safeguarding referral
Investigate suspected abuse, neglect or criminal conduct
Comply with legal or regulatory obligations
Protect other learners, trainers or members of the public
Where possible, the person’s views and wishes should be considered before information is shared. However, information may still need to be disclosed without consent where there is immediate danger, serious risk, concern about another person, suspected criminal conduct or another lawful safeguarding reason.
Only information that is relevant, necessary and proportionate should be shared. Safeguarding records must be stored securely, restricted to authorised persons and retained in accordance with applicable safeguarding, data-protection and records-retention requirements.
Where training is arranged, funded or hosted by an employer or organisation, that employer remains responsible for:
Its own safeguarding policies and procedures
Local reporting routes
Appointing appropriate safeguarding leads
Staff supervision and deployment
Safer recruitment and employment checks
Workplace risk assessment
Managing concerns arising from workplace practice
Making statutory referrals where required
Providing a safe and suitable training environment
However, employer responsibility does not remove Clarivive MedInsight Ltd’s responsibility to respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns that arise during our training or through our systems.
Where a concern relates to an employer’s staff member, service user or workplace, Clarivive MedInsight Ltd may refer the matter to the employer’s designated safeguarding lead or another appropriate authority.
We may bypass the employer and contact safeguarding services, the police or emergency services directly where:
There is immediate or serious risk
The concern involves senior staff or the designated safeguarding lead
Reporting through the employer may increase risk
The employer fails to respond appropriately
Direct referral is otherwise necessary and lawful
Trainers, assessors, contractors and other representatives delivering on behalf of Clarivive MedInsight Ltd must:
Remain alert to possible signs of abuse, neglect, exploitation or unsafe conduct
Listen calmly and respectfully when a concern is disclosed
Avoid promising secrecy
Avoid conducting their own investigation
Avoid asking unnecessary or leading questions
Record the concern factually and promptly
Report the concern through the approved safeguarding route
Take immediate action where a person is in danger
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
Avoid private or inappropriate relationships with learners
Protect confidential information
Follow applicable company, venue and employer safeguarding procedures
Cooperate with safeguarding reviews or referrals
Complete required safeguarding training and updates
Trainers must not dismiss a disclosure because it appears unclear, incomplete or unrelated to the course.
Where a safeguarding concern involves the trainer, learner concerns should be reported directly to Clarivive MedInsight Ltd through the contact route below. The complaint should not be referred only to the person who is the subject of the allegation.
Failure by a trainer or contractor to follow safeguarding requirements may result in removal from delivery, suspension, termination of engagement or referral to an employer, professional body, safeguarding authority or police where appropriate.
