Our Care Certificate course supports new and existing care staff to build safe, compassionate and confident practice. Covering essential standards for health and social care. Additionally, support through clear guidance, practical examples and workplace-focused learning for quality care delivery

The course aims to develop safe, lawful and accountable controlled-drug practice. It helps learners prevent errors, maintain accurate records, recognise discrepancies and respond appropriately to concerns or incidents.
The course focuses primarily on controlled-drug management in care homes and comparable adult social care services in England. It covers the medication pathway from receipt through to administration, monitoring, stock control, disposal and incident escalation.
Completion does not authorise a learner to handle or administer controlled drugs. Staff must remain within their role, training, assessed competence, workplace procedures and any applicable professional standards.
